Here are a few of the attractions in Fraserburgh; for further information, visit the tourist information Centre at the Museum of Scottish lighthouses, kinnaird head, castle terrace, Fraseburgh - Open from 10am- 5pm from Monday to Saturday or call 01346518315.

 

Kinnaird Head Lighthouse was built in 1787 as the first lighthouse in Scotland.

 It is now home to  the largest collection of lighthouse equipment in the UK. 

Discover the unique story of the Stevenson family, lighthouse engineers to the

world, in the Stevenson Gallery & the multi-screen audio visual which tells the 

story of the lighthouse service in Scotland. Great shop,and cafe with 270* views

 from Kinnaird Head. Visit the lighthouse museum, open 7 days a week 10am-5pm. There is also a lovely cafe open from 10am-4pm. If you would like a tour of the museum there is daily tours almost everyhour its open during the day. visit www.lighthousemuseum.com for more information.

 

Fraserburgh Heritage Centre. A community museum illustrating the rich history of this north-east Scottish fishing town developed by the 8th Lord Saltoun in 1592.Open until October 31st 2014. Open from 11am-4pm monday to saturday and from 12-4pm on Sundays. Visit www.fraserburghheritage.com for more information.

 

 

Fraserburgh also has a new swimming pool just a 5 minute walk from the caravan park with a gym, tennis courts, sauna, adults and children's  pool and a lovely cafe just to sit back and relax in.
